Proceeds will go toward creating the C. Yim Gee Sustainable Tourism Research Fund in TIM. Dean Gee’s vision is to encourage TIM faculty and students through research grants to explore sustainable tourism as it affects Hawaii as well as Asia and the Pacific.

You are also invited to the TIM School (George Hall) the next day, August 25, 9am to noon, for a morning of panel discussions with TIM faculty and industry leaders on themes of special importance to Dean Gee-sustainable tourism and current topics in the travel industry. There will also be a special appearance by Chef Colin Chung (’68), author of award winning, Kana Vinaka: Contemporary Island Cuisine, which promotes healthy eating and sustainability. Light refreshments will be served.
